Kisan Bahuudeshiya Sahakari Sanstha Limited is registered under Sahakari Act 1992 as a Bahuudeshiya Sahakari at Division Sahakari Office Kailali in 1995 AD. In the initial period of its establishment it conducted activities that focused on buying and selling of consumable and selling agriculture inputs goods to the members, as well as providing saving and credit services and other activities that a normal multipurpose cooperative undertakes.
Later it realized that providing financial services to the members is most important to provide relief to the members from the exorbitant interest rates of money lenders prevailing in the community.
Hence, it started process to obtain license from Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) and was licensed by NRB in 1997 to provide limited banking services in the district. KISAN has been operating Micro-financial services since 2007 A.D.
Organization has been trying to facilitate all of its customer through various product and services. In spite of acute competition of financial organization in this area, this organization has indicated its own presence by adopting different kind of financial program.
Most of urban oriented banks and financial companies were unable to reach in rural areas; proudly we can claim that we served door to door. It has been providing financial service to the remote people across the district through innovative approach by adopting Tablet banking, Mobile banking, Card based payment system and establishing other technology based delivery mechanism.
Our micro-finance Program has been also helping the rural women who have higher dedication but lower economic condition to become independent. That's what the involvement of the women has been increasing day by day in the micro finance. The loan without any mortgage and door to door service are the major attraction of more than 53 thousand family's involvement in the microfinance program.
Support and strengthen the economy at the bottom of the socioeconomics pyramid by facilitating access to financial services for the poor, marginalized, indigenous and disadvantaged persons of kailali district.
